About us
Who we are
LSN is a not-for-profit organisation focused on making learning work across the public and private sectors, in the UK and internationally.
What we do
We operate across the public and private sectors, offering a wide range of solutions and services, from quality improvement programmes to leadership and management training and e-development solutions. We have a proven track record of delivering educational programmes and projects in the UK and internationally; these range from complex multi-million pound programmes to bespoke consulting solutions for individual customers.
Where can you find us?
Our head office is in Holborn, London, with regional offices in Belfast, Olney, Standlake, and Cambridge.
Our Associates
We work with expert consultants and associates based all over the UK and outside. This network enables us to apply a local understanding when creating services for the UK and internationally.
Publications
We produce a wide variety of publications every year to support leaders, managers, learning providers and support staff. Our publications highlight the latest themes and developments in the learning and skills sector.
Events
We organise hundreds of events every year from conferences and training events to opportunities for sharing best practice. You can book for many of these events on this website.
The virtual and real networks we develop present valuable opportunities for leaders, managers and practitioners to share best practice. These networks always generate new ideas, resources and approaches that can be further disseminated through our events and publications.
The Michael Young Legacy
Since merging with the National Extension College in 2010, LSN has committed to continuing and strengthening the Michael Young legacy, which we see as an integral part of the charitable objects of the merged organisation. This legacy includes widening access and reducing barriers to participation in education and learning, influencing policy makers and funders to bring about change to help meet education and learning needs more effectively, and researching and piloting new and innovative approaches to education and learning.
